Jim Blake
Co-Founder, JMP Ventures | Former Managing Director, Kaufman Hall and Citigroup Global Markets
Jim Blake is a nationally recognized healthcare and technology leader and co-founder of JMP Ventures, LLC, which invests in and advises start-up companies working to make healthcare more accessible and affordable. With more than 35 years of experience, his expertise spans strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, financial oversight, enterprise risk management, capital planning, and corporate restructuring.
Over his career, Jim has managed more than $35 billion in financial transactions, working with multi-hospital systems, managed care companies, integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, and physician practice groups. He most recently served as a Managing Director at Kaufman Hall for 12 years.
Joe Gaylord
EVP and CFO, Fairview Health Services
Joe Gaylord serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Fairview Health Services. Since joining Fairview, he has built a finance function closely aligned with hospital, service line, and operational leaders, while leading systemwide transformation initiatives.
With over 30 years of finance experience, Joe began his career at PwC and has since served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at multiple organizations, including Capella University and Regency Corporation.
Scott Nordlund
EVP Corporate Development & Partnerships, Sutter Health
Scott Nordlund serves as the Executive Vice President of Development & Partnerships at Sutter Health. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Banner Health, where he spent seven years leading system-wide growth initiatives.
Before joining Banner, Scott was EVP of Partnership Growth and Innovation at Select Medical, driving growth initiatives across its national network of specialty hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation clinics, and occupational health centers. He also served as Chief Growth, Strategy, and Innovation Officer for Trinity Health, overseeing strategy, innovation, and consumer engagement across a 20-state footprint.
Earlier in his career, he spent 11 years at Dignity Health in a variety of executive roles focused on mergers and acquisitions and ambulatory service expansion.
Scott was named one of the "Top 50 Great Health System Chief Strategy Officers" by Becker's Hospital Review in 2022.
